Terms of Service.
The terms for website, software, subscription and support services from CorewebIT.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to the website, software, hosting and support services provided by CorewebIT ("we", "us"), operated by Ali Hassan in Darwin, Northern Territory, to you ("you", "the client"). They apply together with the written quote we give you. If the quote and these terms conflict, the quote applies to that project. By accepting a quote (including by email, signature or paying an invoice) you agree to these terms.
Quotes, prices and GST
- We give you a written quote that sets out the scope, price and timeframe. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless they say otherwise.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and are shown excluding GST. If we are registered for GST at the time of invoicing, GST will be added to the invoice.
- Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before we start. If you have not agreed a price, additional work is charged at $60 per hour (excluding GST).
- Prices published on our website are starting prices and guides. The quote you accept is the price that applies.
Payment
- One-off projects: a 50% deposit is payable to start, and the balance is payable before your website or software goes live or is handed over. If the quote says otherwise, the quote applies.
- Subscriptions: the setup fee is payable to start, and the monthly fee is invoiced in advance each month.
- Invoices are payable within 7 days unless the invoice says otherwise. Payment is by bank transfer or another method we agree in writing.
- If an invoice is overdue, we may pause work, hosting or support until it is paid, and may charge reasonable costs of recovering it, to the extent the law allows.
What we need from you
You agree to give us the text, images, logos, access details and feedback we reasonably need, on time, and to respond to review requests within a reasonable period. Delays in providing these can delay your timeline and may affect the price. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you give us, and you are responsible for the accuracy of your content, including prices, claims and legal notices on your website.
Timelines and changes
Timelines in a quote or on our website are estimates, not guarantees. Each design stage includes two rounds of reasonable changes. Further changes, or changes that alter the agreed scope, are additional work.
Ownership and intellectual property
- One-off builds. Once you have paid in full, you own the custom design, the content and the code we wrote specifically for you.
- Third-party and shared components. Open-source software, themes, plugins, fonts, stock images and other third-party materials remain subject to their own licences. Our general-purpose tools, templates and code libraries that we reuse across projects remain ours, and you receive a licence to use them as part of your website or software.
- Subscriptions. Your content (text, images and logos), and your domain, remain yours throughout. While your subscription is active we host and maintain the website for you. If you cancel, we provide a copy of your content and, if we registered your domain for you, we transfer it to you. The hosted website then stops at the end of the term. You may ask us about a buy-out of the design and code, and we will quote it.
- Portfolio. We may show your project in our portfolio and marketing, unless you ask us not to in writing. We do not show confidential information.
Domains, hosting and third-party services
- We register domain names in your name wherever possible. A .com.au domain requires an Australian presence and a valid ABN or equivalent, and you are responsible for supplying accurate details. Domain renewal costs are included in subscriptions and otherwise payable by you.
- Fees charged by third parties, for example a Shopify plan, payment gateway fees, plugin licences, email hosting or stock photos, are paid by you directly unless the quote says otherwise. We explain them before you commit.
- We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their outages, price changes or terms.
Subscription plans
- Plans that include a website build (such as Starter Care, Business Care and Software + Support, where a build is included) have a 6-month minimum term. After that, they continue month to month until you cancel.
- You can cancel by giving us 30 days' written notice (email is fine). If you cancel before the end of the minimum term, the remaining monthly fees for the minimum term remain payable.
- Care Only plans for an existing website are month to month with 30 days' notice.
- Each plan includes the content changes and services listed on our packages page. Unused changes do not carry over. Additional changes are charged as additional work.
- We may change plan prices on 30 days' written notice. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it takes effect without paying the new price.
Maintenance and security
Maintenance covers the tasks described in your plan, such as updates, backups, monitoring and small changes. We take reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee that a website will never be attacked, go offline or lose data, because that depends partly on factors outside our control, including third-party platforms and hosting. Cleaning up a website that was already compromised before we took it over is quoted separately.
No guarantee of search results
We build websites to follow good search engine practice, but we do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic or number of enquiries. Search results depend on many factors outside our control.
Our guarantees and fixes
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel the service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
In addition, if you report a defect in the work we delivered within 30 days after launch, we will fix it at no extra charge.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be limited.
Confidentiality and privacy
We keep your non-public business information confidential and use it only to deliver your project. We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. If your project collects personal information from your own customers, you are responsible for having a suitable privacy policy and for complying with the privacy laws that apply to your business. We can help you set this up.
Ending a project
Either of us may end a one-off project in writing if the other party materially breaches these terms and does not fix it within 7 days of being told. If you end a project, you pay for the work completed up to that point and any non-refundable costs we have incurred. Deposits are not refundable once work has started, except as the Australian Consumer Law requires.
Events outside our control
Neither of us is responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, such as cyclones and severe weather, power or internet outages, third-party platform failures, or government action. We will tell you promptly and work to resume as soon as we can.
Disputes and governing law
If there is a problem, please tell us first at support@corewebit.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot agree, we will try mediation before either of us starts legal action, unless urgent relief is needed. These terms are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory, Australia, and both of us submit to the courts of the Northern Territory.
Using this website
The information on this website is general and may change. Concept projects shown on our Projects page are examples created by us and are labelled as concepts; they are not real client work unless stated. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we do not endorse or control them. Prices and plans on this website are starting points and are confirmed in your written quote.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published on this page applies to quotes accepted after the date shown. Changes do not affect a quote you have already accepted.
